The Confessions of a Bakeaholic…

I started this blog in 2008 after many, many, many hours of browsing and bookmarking so many other food blogs on the internet. I thought hey, I’d love to have a blog myself! I have always had a passion for baking, and have been putting roasts in the oven since age 12. Although my website is dedicated to baking, I also love cooking.  I just haven’t captured them yet in pictures! I love all aspects of cooking, baking and eating. I could spend hours flipping through cookbooks and looking at recipes online. It’s an obsession of mine.

Being Italian, I’ve grown up eating some very good food, and so I have gained a love for cooking and baking just about everything (luckily i haven’t gained too much else!) My dad was an excellent cook and would make dinners for us that could feed an army, I’d like to think he had a big influence on my love affair with all things food.

I’m currently an Island Girl, but I grew up in Vancouver, BC and have just this year (2010) moved to Victoria, an hour and a half ferry ride away to continue my education at the University of Victoria. I’m finishing my BA with hopes to carry on to a Bachelor of Education. I find in my 21st year my obsession and love of cooking and baking everything has grown and I would love to be able to cook or bake daily, but of course with the deadlines of class assignments and studying this just hasn’t happened. So I continue to do so as much as I can, and share it as often as Im able!
